Diagnostic noise measurements

Understand what is behind a reported noise problem

Investigation starts with the event itself: where it is heard, when it occurs and which activities may be involved. We review available complaints and equipment operating information. This allows the site investigation and measurements to target periods when the problem can reasonably be observed, rather than relying on an arbitrary snapshot of site activity.

Observation positions and analysis methods are selected around the hypotheses being tested. Where operating conditions allow, we compare source activity, locations and sound characteristics. Concurrent events and possible interference are documented to distinguish evidence of a cause from a simple coincidence in timing. Measurement findings are interpreted alongside the operational information supplied by the client.

Diagnosis may establish the importance of a source or show that another observation window is needed. If the reported event does not occur during the visit, its absence is not treated as evidence that the problem has been resolved. We identify a useful next step, such as another survey, a different test condition or longer monitoring.

What you receive

You receive a diagnostic report describing observations, findings and recommendations. Conclusions distinguish supported explanations from questions that remain open. The report helps direct action towards an appropriate source or plan further investigation, without assigning a cause solely on the basis of one complaint or a temporary rise in measured noise.

On-site noise emission measurements for machinery and installations

Understand a source in its actual operating environment

Installation conditions, operating load and neighbouring equipment can influence the acoustic behaviour of a working machine. We agree which parameter and operating condition need to be described, then review the site constraints. Source access, background sound and the surrounding environment inform selection of a field method suited to the purpose and the available conditions.

Measurements are performed under documented operating conditions, considering equipment configuration and relevant neighbouring sources. Processed data can support comparisons between agreed operating states or provide a source characterisation for further assessment. We explain precisely which acoustic quantity has been determined and under what conditions, avoiding confusion between sound levels measured nearby and other acoustic parameters.

Field results relate to the tested configuration and selected method. They are not automatically equivalent to a laboratory characterisation or a declaration covering every application of the equipment. Where background sound or access prevents a suitable determination, we identify the limitation and any need for different test conditions. Laboratory and chamber testing are excluded from this service.

Soil and groundwater baseline or final report

Document site conditions at the relevant stage of the installation's life

We first establish the report purpose, installation boundaries and substances relevant to the assessment. Information on material use, storage and movement is reviewed alongside available soil and groundwater data. The history of the site helps identify locations needing attention and determine whether existing investigations address the questions the report is intended to resolve.

Operational records are brought together with investigation results and their locations. We examine comparability of methods, depths and analytical scopes, identifying where further investigation may be needed. For a final report, an important task is relating the assessed condition to the appropriate baseline documentation while accounting for differences in the evidence and actual changes in installation use.

The report explains the basis and limits of the assessment; an individual result does not automatically characterise the entire property. Field and laboratory work is organised with suitable partners within an agreed scope. The report documents environmental conditions, while any remediation strategy or physical works require a separate scope based on the findings.

Technical data

Subject Soil and groundwater conditions in relation to substances relevant to the installation.

What you receive

You receive a baseline or final report describing the installation, evidence used and environmental condition within the defined scope. It explains the investigation basis and, where appropriate, comparison with reference documentation. Information gaps affecting interpretation are identified so subsequent decisions about the site can be based on clearly stated findings.

Support with obligations under a permissible noise level decision

Connect the decision's requirements with actions and supporting evidence

The starting point is the decision itself and the way the facility operates. We organise its obligations, assessment conditions and the information needed to address them. Available measurement results, source records and operating states are reviewed against the locations relevant to the assessment. This makes subsequent work traceable to a particular requirement rather than a generic survey plan.

We plan appropriate measurements and analyses, considering representative operating conditions and the ability to distinguish the facility's contribution from other sources. Results are interpreted against the conditions established for the site. Where causes or priorities need clarification, we identify diagnostic work capable of connecting observed impacts with operations and documenting the basis for subsequent decisions.

The action plan distinguishes assessment of existing conditions, evidence of obligation fulfilment and any noise reduction works. Advisory and measurement support does not automatically include designing or installing controls. Operating changes and new sources inform review of the findings, and the documentation clearly identifies the conditions represented by the reported results.

Technical data

Subject Noise-related obligations and assessment conditions specified in the facility's decision.
Service type Analytical, measurement and documentation support for the operator.
Assessment basis and requirements The decision, operating conditions, available measurement evidence and methods selected for the relevant assessment purpose.

What you receive

You receive a report and action plan related to the decision's requirements. The material connects obligations with completed analyses or measurements, explains findings and identifies further tasks. It helps the operator organise work and assemble supporting evidence while retaining the operating conditions and limitations needed to interpret the results correctly.

Environmental notifications before commissioning

Organise environmental tasks before the installation enters service

We review the installation being commissioned, its documentation and conditions arising from existing decisions. The start-up programme and division of project stages are examined. This provides a basis for identifying the environmental notifications relevant to the facility and the information that must come from the contractor, operator, designer or other participants before documents can be prepared.

Obligations are connected with deadlines applicable to the particular case and with the progress of physical works. We prepare the agreed documentation package, checking consistency of installation names, parameters and project boundaries. Incomplete information is distinguished from confirmed data so responsible team members can see which items require attention before documents are submitted or passed on.

The schedule follows the agreed commissioning plan and needs review when stages or technical arrangements change. An environmental notification package does not replace all project acceptance checks or other commissioning activities. Submission arrangements and any action on the client's behalf are agreed separately, with appropriate responsibilities and authorisation established before those actions are taken.

Technical data

Subject Environmental notifications and supporting material associated with installation commissioning.
Service type Obligation review and preparation of commissioning-related environmental documentation.

It helps the project team coordinate documentation with operators and contractors and identify items requiring review if the date, sequence or scope of start-up changes.

Water permit technical report

A technical account of how the proposed water use will work

We start by defining the subject and boundaries of the report, known in Poland as an operat wodnoprawny. We review the proposed water use, technical arrangements, location and receiving environment. Design information, balances and mapping are checked for consistency with the same project option. Missing parameters are identified before dependent sections are prepared.

The report describes the relevant equipment or activities, quantities characterising water use and graphical material suited to the agreed scope. We work with the designer and specialist contributors to clarify connections between the process, infrastructure and environmental setting. Information is organised so its origin and the basis of calculations and proposed operating parameters can be followed.

The report documents a defined proposal. Preparing it is not the same service as managing the entire water permit procedure or producing a construction design. If the process, location or balance changes during preparation, we identify the sections requiring revision so the documentation continues to describe the intended arrangements rather than an earlier design.

Technical data

Subject Water use, water services or structures covered by the agreed technical report.
Service type Technical documentation supporting a water-related permitting matter.
Assessment basis and requirements Purpose of the report, applicable documentation requirements, design information, balances and identified site and receiving-environment conditions.

What you receive

You receive a water permit technical report with technical descriptions, relevant balances and supporting attachments. It connects the proposal's parameters with its location and intended water use. Sources and assumptions are documented, supporting preparation of the relevant application package and coordination of information between the investor and design team.

Documentation for wastewater discharge to sewer

Describe the wastewater before agreeing how it will be discharged

We identify processes producing wastewater, their relationship with facility operations and how separate streams are managed. Available test results, balances, pretreatment information and discharge locations are reviewed. We distinguish evidence describing typical operation from information about changing loads, start-up or other agreed situations relevant to the characteristics of the discharge entering the sewer system.

Wastewater volumes and parameters are set against the requirements identified for the particular agreement. We check units, reference periods and installation descriptions so incompatible information is not combined in the documentation. Where representative results or process details are missing, we identify the required additions. Preparation takes account of the roles of the designer, facility operator and any testing provider.

The documentation concerns a specific discharge arrangement and recipient. It does not replace the recipient's conditions or a decision by the relevant authority. Preparing the submission material is distinguished from additional testing, pretreatment design or connection works. A change in production or wastewater composition may require the original characterisation to be revisited.

Technical data

Subject Wastewater streams entering a sewer system and their proposed discharge arrangements.

What you receive

You receive documentation for the sewer operator or authority, including an organised wastewater characterisation, technical information and agreed attachments. It records operating conditions, information sources and any gaps. The material supports explanation of the proposed discharge and responses to questions about its quantity, quality and relationship with the production process.

Water law notification support

A precise description of the notified water-related works

We start with the proposed activities and their relationship with water and the surroundings. The assumed notification route is reviewed against actual parameters rather than the name of the works alone. We establish what location, technical and design information is available and what needs clarification before the documentation is prepared for subsequent formal steps.

We develop the description and organise the relevant information and agreed appendices. The scope stated in the text is checked against drawings and data supplied by the designer. Clear proposal boundaries are particularly important, preventing different activities from being combined without explaining their relationship and significance for the procedural route selected for the proposed works.

A notification is distinct from a water permit application and from the technical report supporting such an application. If clarified information points to a different procedure, we explain the distinction and identify the documentation changes needed. The outcome keeps the proposal presented by the client aligned with the material prepared for the identified notification route.

Technical data

Subject A proposal covered by the simplified water law notification procedure
Service type Water law notification documentation
Assessment basis and requirements The actual activities, location and technical parameters, and information relevant to the applicable notification route.

Delivery model KFB Enviro with a partner/subcontractor

What you receive

You receive water law notification documentation for the agreed proposal. The package connects the activity description with technical data, location information and appropriate appendices. It relates the documented scope to the client's intended solution while clearly distinguishing a notification from a permit application and from technical documentation prepared for other water-related procedures.

Notification of an installation emitting to air

The right information for an installation notification

We begin by understanding the installation and reviewing the proposed documentation route. We establish which equipment and processes need to be described and what information the operator, developer or supplier should provide. For commissioning, project assumptions must be distinguished from confirmed data for installed equipment; for modifications, the extent of the documentation update also needs to be defined.

We organise the technology description, operating hours, materials used and information on emissions to air. Technical information and schedules are checked for consistency with each other and with intended use. Missing information needed for the notification is identified, and the documentation is structured so that equipment, processes and reported emission parameters can be clearly connected.

An installation notification is distinct from an emissions permit application. We do not assume that the notification route is appropriate simply from an equipment name. If the identified parameters indicate a need to reconsider the procedure, we explain this before finalising the material. The resulting documentation reflects the agreed installation scope and explicitly understood assumptions.

Technical data

Subject An air-emitting installation covered by the notification procedure

The material is prepared for the defined installation and identified notification route, with clear links between source information and the parameters supplied for subsequent formal steps.

Waste collection or treatment permit application support

A clear description of the waste management activity

We distinguish collection from treatment so that the documentation reflects the proposed activities. We examine site layout, storage arrangements, equipment and operational sequence. For a modification, the new scope is compared with existing documents. We establish waste types and quantities needed to describe capacity and the organisation of the different parts of the activity.

Waste flows are organised from acceptance through storage and any treatment to the onward transfer of resulting streams. Process descriptions, balances and storage parameters are checked for consistency. We identify appendices and additional information relevant to the application scope. Matters needing separate specialist input are highlighted for agreement rather than concealed within a general description of the operation.

The application covers the defined waste activity; it does not replace documentation of every other environmental impact at the site. Its content should allow the operator to compare intended working arrangements with the assumptions presented. We therefore make the scope and connections between streams, operations and parameters clear, including those needing revision if the solution changes.

Technical data

Subject Waste collection or treatment at a defined location
Service type Application documentation for a waste collection or treatment permit
Assessment basis and requirements Proposed activities, waste and installation data, site organisation and documentation requirements identified for the defined scope.
Method
